DoBlogPing

is a free tool that makes it easier for bloggers to immediately notify the internet about new posts to your blog (blogping)!
The tool issues a weblogUpdates.ping

The tool might help - if you:
  • want to be in control which servers to ping and when.
  • need information whether a ping server is still there or what it responds to your ping.
